Tokoname Milk Stand“BAITEN”
This small stall is located on Kurefutoya-Dori on Tokoname Foothpath.
It is a building that retains the nostalgia of a site that was originally a clay pipe factory, and next to it remains the kiln where clay pipes were actually baked.
Tokoname Milk was founded in the Sanwa district of Tokoname in the first year of the Showa Era under the company name “Sanwa Milk,” with the wish that "drinking milk will make you healthy. The design of the logo with a child in the middle of three rings represents both the company name and the wish that children will become healthy by drinking milk.
Currently, approximately 70% of the milk produced is made for school lunches and drunk at elementary and junior high schools in Tokoname, Obu, and Chita cities, making Tokoname milk so popular that everyone on the Chita Peninsula knows about it.
The sweet aroma and mild, elegant flavor are the result of the freshness of the milk, which is pasteurized at 85°C the same day it is squeezed and shipped the next day. Please enjoy this classic flavor loved by the people of the Chita Peninsula.
